The stretch of 14th Street from around the Columbia Heights Metro station to U Street NW is notorious for its congestion. At an upcoming meeting on June 23rd, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is sitting down with the community to discuss some options.
This is a chance to get in on this conversation at the ground floor as nothing has been officially proposed yet. With the recent addition of the 59 express bus, the right street improvements could really improve bus transit along 14th Street and ease congestion. We know that the usual crowd will show up to push their issue: parking parking parking. Let's make sure we make ourselves loud and clear: buses and bikes, buses and bikes!
